LOVIN' TOGETHER

Finished this video yesterday
in a dark room with neon paint was filmed an idea that could've been predicted by the Major Arcana in retrospect. It might as well have been signed sealed delivered directly to Special Agent Cooper to set the tone of this night.  For this scenes were shot of myself dancing to a yet to be released track 'I Need You'.
A little bit ago Chris hit us up with the groove called 'Lovin' Together' and that's when we took our supply off the top shelf and brought it into the neon-lime light.
3 seconds of video can take 3 hours of editing, and "Rendering" is now a dirty word in my book, but
I am very grateful to have been able to be half responsible for something like this to be in existence.
We had Mark design the track title lettering, and Omar and I drew the shades, locked the door, powered up Final Cut, and put our fingers to the keyboard.

Maybe it's the twinge of pain when I realize dear memories have the faded ghost like appearance of a load of colors washed in bleach. Some memories are dirty enough to need it....
But it could be the gypsy lifestyle I've grown up with, moving and traveling so much, that makes me feel the need to have this kind of proof to my own mind that something did happen, and, what have we here? I can see it again? Amazing. This kind of...skill? habit? obsession? has coupled with my affinity for dancing. Add my painted lips and here you have it.
Thank you Omar, for teaching me a thing or two about a thing or two,
and Chris for having us do this video. Coat of Arms is amazing, I love hearing it, I love dancing to it...love putting moving pictures to it.
We had so much fun

Pets Recordings is set to release a three-part digital compilation called Friends Will Carry You Home.

Founded in 2010, Pets Recordings is a Polish label with just a handful of EPs released so far. Friends Will Carry You Home nearly doubles the the size of its catalog, with 16 previously unreleased productions in all. Contributions come from artists familiar to the label—Catz 'N Dogz, Martin Dawson and the Polish artists SLG and Pol_On—plus newcomers like Death On The Balcony, Bubba and Viadrina. The digital compilation will be released in three parts beginning in September, with each release date separated by two weeks. A vinyl extraction is in the works as well, featuring Bubba's "4 Control," Pol_On's "Molala (Mercury Remix)" and Maceo Plex's remix of "Think About It" by Martin Dawson and Nicholas Ryan Grant.

Still Life

Once again through the eye of the Harinezumi,
the non-quality becomes the quality.
"Still Life" fits in lyrically, and visually with these
memories. Additional photos from Canon Powershot
I use to carry around everywhere,
making it a pretty roughed up, but handy device.

György Kepes
(October 4, 1906 – December 29, 2001)
was a Hungarian-born painter, designer, educator and art theorist. After emigrating to the U.S. in 1937, he taught design at the New Bauhaus (later the School of Design, then Institute of Design, then Illinois Institute of Design or IIT) in Chicago. In 1967 He founded the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he taught until his retirement in 1974.

Kepes grandson, Nico Stone, grew up with Mark and Omar
and we were lucky enough to stay at his Cape house last October.
An event which we gleaned much inspiration,
although having just now sharing it with you.
Omar was working on his EP to be out that spring,
and spring we wished it was.
The fire helped warm our toes,
while the atmosphere eased our minds and souls.

“György Kepes was the greatest pioneer in the marriage of
art and technology in America, if not the world.
He was a visionary, a towering intellect and a breathtaking artist.
He single-handedly created the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at MIT and turned it into an internationally acclaimed program for the development of the finest in late 20th-century art.
His work will endure for many centuries to come,”
Alan Brody, associate provost for the arts (MIT CAVS).

Nico Stone continues to build upon his grandfather's foundation both in additional construction of the family house in the New Bauhaus style, and the family reputation of great artistry and intelligence.

Loopus Amadeus (USA) DubNoir Music -
Loopus Amadeus
Omar Johan Cabrera otherwise known as Loopus Amadeus is not your average Dj/Producer. Straying away from the pack, Loopus Amadeus is a lone wolf composer who is on a mission to seek forage in the vast musical landscape of his mind. At an early age, Loopus found freedom and movement in electronic/dance music. Channeling his love for the night into rhythms and drums made with primal instinct and animal intensity. Loopus transforms beats and bars into primitive calls to the wild.
Releasing his first EP on Dubnoir Music titled "No Mejor", Loopus is planning on spending many more countless hours in his natural habitat, the studio, creating more grooves that will satisfy the nocturnal animal that exists inside of all of us.
"No Mejor" kicks things off with its horns and thrusting trumpets playing right through the track. Big beats are the order of the day with "No Mejor" as the crunchy claps and vocal chants keep the track riding along nicely, definately a track for the clubs/ festivals this summer. The second track is "Carlito", with its huge latin influence. Again huge drums, crispy percussion, all thats left to do is press play. The final track "Bhangarh" shows Omar's range with regards to world music. Its all about the drums and sub on this track. There is also a hauting vocal that plays through out the track that sounds spot on around the rest of the angry but punchy kick/ clap combo.
Up on remix duty we have Prince Club, who give "No Mejor" a royal makeover. Fresh off the back of their recent EP success on Riva Starr's Snatch Label, they join the DubNoir posse for their driving house masterpeice, with a sub that will destroy the club, take my word for it. These guys are making names for themselves rapidly, and were pleased to have them on board for this release.
Finally we have a DubNoir first, we are giving away a bonus track, a remix by local boy, Markus Anthony with his remix of "Carlito". This is as a thank you to all the support we have been getting recently, long may it continue. Markus will be appearing on the 2nd Anniversary EP released in May also with some solo material. If you like, nicely laced latin house, then please check out his remix, as it will definately get any party started.
